Thanks for a great summer – now it’s back to school! (3)

We had a fantastic summer on Momio. We launched rooms in June, which meant a lot of new opportunities and fun for momios! Besides dressing up their avatar, momios are now also able to express themselves by decorating their own room. There’s a variety of items for them to pick and choose – and we are just extremely impressed by how our users are able to create such unique and cool rooms! Here are some examples collected over the summer:

Kids behaved well on Momio this summer – well, most of the time! Like every other holiday season, we get trolls that have too much free time, and choose to spend it on testing limits online. It’s OK, we get them under control quickly – and we understand how tempting it can be. But like some users also have experienced; if you open a new account to troll – it might get consequences for their main account too. So be aware!

Nevertheless, it’s an important lesson to learn early on that there’s no excuse for behaving badly online, no matter how anonymous and mystical your username is. ;)

We have seen a lot of kids chatting about getting back to school, how it went and they have been sharing experiences from everything that is happening in the beginning of a new school year. It’s nice to see so many children looking forward to seeing their friends again, learning lots of new things and being excited about starting up new social activities. We have without a doubt felt their excitement through our screens – even when they’re discussing everyday school life, such as what they got for homework, what their teachers are like and their favourite new subject, and so on.

As the school year progresses, the challenges and trends evolve too. But don’t worry: We are always here, always on top of what is going on – and updating you on the latest news.
