Momio is a social media for children. In addition to our advanced and in-house developed SAFEGUARD safety system, we employ local Community Managers and Supporters, who check risky behaviour and reported content every day. Together they ensure that our users feel safe and comfortable on Momio.
Our Finnish Community Manager Henriikka started working for Momio two years ago as a Supporter and recently got a well deserved promotion. Meet Henriikka and find out why she loves working for Momio!
Hi Henriikka! What is your background?
Hey! I left Finland seven years ago to live abroad, travel and try my wings before starting my studies. I knew I was going to pursue studies in architecture and urban development in some form, but wanted to see what else was out there first. I ended up working with online games and content management in an exciting start-up environment, which allowed me to develop a solid skillset for operating in the digital sphere.
Once I moved to Copenhagen and finally began my studies in Architectural Technology, I was lucky to land a job at Momio. Here I could put the range of skills I had acquired into good use.
What are your tasks at Momio?
As the Community Manager for Finland my main task is to ensure that Momio is a safe and fun place for the Finnish kids. We are teaching our users to be skilled digital natives and guiding them to question what goes on online while having fun with their friends.
I also work with translations and have even had the opportunity to contribute with some business analysis and design ideas. The recent addition of rooms in Momio was a project particularly close to my heart. :)
Why do you like working at Momio?
We’re a truly dedicated bunch of people with a fantastic pool of skills and personalities. Working in a small company means getting involved in many aspects of the business, which makes it so interesting.
On another note, seeing the learning curve of our users is very rewarding. The kids can also be so smart and witty, which often makes me laugh out loud. My job is what keeps me young!
Thank you Henriikka, so great to have you in our team!
